I need a module to add some simple pages to G2. It should be working for someone without php-knowledge, a tiny cms indeed. Does such a module already exist?

thanks for helping!

yes, but it doesn't work anymore because it's out of date.

see the static html module on the user contributions page of codex.gallery2.org.

ok, i'll try :)

I need a module to let people without php-knowledge add pages to gallery (for contact info or info about the website). So, they should to be able to add non-picture content to the site.

should each user be able to create such pages or only the admin? and where would it show the link to the page?

i guess you'd also want a WYSIWYG formatted Text / HTML editor like the http://www.fckeditor.net/ editor.

Just the admin is sufficient.

Yes, that would be fine.

ok, please file a feature request on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ add there a link to this topic and add as much information to the request as possible.

in a few days, we'll start a new feature of the gallery.menalto.com website, feature voting :)

SanderBroek, this feature is of great interest to me also. Have you had a chance to add it to the feature request as Valiant suggested?

Yes, just follow the feature request link to sf.
I think it's a very general functionality, which could be of use for lots of people.

Almost 3 years passed by . Obviously digging somewhat deep into Gallery history...Just saw the "feature vote" page and voted for that cms modul with most of my points. Unfortunately it didn't change anything within the feature ranking as my vote budget is low :(

Such a modul would be a great contribution for the "non-coders" amongst us (like x_treme theme, that allows for nice customization without need to change a single line of code).

Actually this "Little CMS" module will open immense possibilities for Gallery admins - it can easily turn the "Gallery" into a CMS ecosystem of it's own. It would enable to build whole websites with just the Gallery software. And given the spectrum of file formats handled by Gallery this could even be seen as a "little DMS".
