Gallery 2 Alpha-3 (Farva) Released
This is the third installment in the Gallery 2 alpha cycle. We've made considerable improvements in G2 in the past month and are presenting you with another technology release so that you can get an idea of how the product is maturing. As with the earlier alpha releases, G2 is stable and reliable, but does not yet have all the features that you will find in Gallery 1.4.4 and is not yet ready for a production environment.
Download the latest code and play with it! Before you ask for help, please, please read the README -- we've made an effort to answer all of your questions there. Especially read the known issues section. Then head on over to the G2 Forums and let us know what you think!
The more feedback you give us now, the better the final version of G2 will be. Thanks for your continued support!

my fresh install was 2 minutes faster than "cowbell". here's my config:<br />
<br />
FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE<br />
mySQL 4.0.18 <br />
Gallery 2 Alpha-3 (farva)<br />
Apache 1.3.31<br />
php 4.3.8<br />
phpMyAdmin 2.5.7-pl1<br />
<br />
the default appearance of the top gallery before any tweaks looks neat. less clutter is what i want. i'm a minimalist. the language option on the main page is no longer enabled by default which of course can be enabled through the "site admin".
kewl gallery1 was great an G2 it's awsome :D keep on the good work ;)
Really looking forward to this! Are there any sites running this as I would love to have a look at the changes...<br />
<br />
Thanks again to everyone involved!<br />

Car RAMROD... Car RAMROD!
Version 2 really rocks!<br />
<br />
I'm running it on : <br />
Windows 2003 with IIS6<br />
MySQL 4.0.18<br />
phpMyAdmin 2.5.6<br />
PHP Version 4.3.5<br />
Oke I have that to but, how have u solved the problem with: <br />
------------------------------------<br />
if (!empty($_SERVER['PATH_INFO']))<br />
$path .=$_SERVER['PATH_INFO'];<br />
------------------------------------<br />
<br />
I have just remove the point and the errors were gone. <br />
Some people I read have remove the all this two line's from the script.<br />
<br />
Question wat have u done and about youre CMD.exe ?!?<br />
I installed G2-A3 on spenix.com. it worked really good. Untill i added jpgs... it seems that gallery 2-A3 crashes when you try to DELETE images that are not recognized as JPG [maybe some weird type of JPG compression?] even though they have .jpg extensions. Then there's another thing that i noticed. when i try to get pictures from http://..../images/ it only gets the first 50. And the download speed spenix.com has from yahoo.com is of 1.3 MB. I don't know what the trouble is. Furthermore, i tried to only add 20 of them at a time. it seems to work. <br />
<br />
Its loading time is good, the look is simple, neat. i like it.
Hmm..i can't remember how i solved that problem. <br />
<br />
<br />
Concerning the CMD.exe, i gave the IUSR_servername execute rights on CMD.exe
<br />
it's not the solution you want...but it works....<br />
<br />
Nice website btw.....
