In an attempt to cut down on unnecessary posts, we ask everyone to follow these guidelines before posting a troubleshooting request in this forum:

    - make sure you read the FAQ
    - if the problem is with uploading (such as error messages, broken thumbnails, etc., make sure that you can upload with Gallery (without using Gallery Remote): log in; navigate to an album you can add pictures to; select 'add photos' in the 'admin options' menu; in the popup window, select the 'Form' tab and upload a test picture.
    - search the forum for similar problems: there are many duplicate posts of people who can't upload, or get empty album lists, or unrecognized passwords. 90% of the time these duplicate posts could have been avoided by searching the forum, which not only gives you an answer quicker, but also doesn't distract us from improving Gallery Remote.
    - also make sure you're using the latest Gallery Remote release, not an outdated version
    - remember to include all the necessary information:

      * what you were trying to do
      * what happened wrong
      * version number of Gallery and Gallery Remote
      * log or log fragment of the error

Thanks![/]

When posting a log or log fragment to the forum, make sure that it doesn't contain usernames and passwords. GR does log your username to the log, and although I think it no longer logs passwords, this still weakens security of your Gallery.

Also, please don't post whole logs as text inside your post. Rather, attach a text file of the log to the thread. You need to be in 'Post a Reply' mode rather than the 'Quick Reply' mode (use the 'post reply' button ). Having big log fragments in the thread makes it harder to read.

Getting this error from Gallery2Rmote (just downloaded the current from Gallery2.hu, although it says there is a newer version, it goes to a 404 page):
IMG_0000.JPG: Error: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Connection has been shutdown: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe

Running Gallery2.2.5 under Drupal 5.8 (on an SSL site).
