Mambo and Gallery Integration Issue

I'm trying to get the integration working by following the HOWTO file but am not having much luck. When I go into Mambo administration area, I'm choosing "Components" then "Install/Uninstall" from the menu. Then in the "Install from Directory" box I insert the path to the gallery.xml file (e.g. /www/htdocs/gallery/contrib/mambo ). When I click to install I get an error stating "Installer not found for element []". I have tried various combinations in the install directory box with the final "/" and also adding the "gallery.xml" filename. I have checked the files in that directory and changed permissions to make sure the webserver has priviledges. I've even moved the directory contents giving 777 permissions. All attemps end with the same message. Info: Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm wondering if I'm trying to install the component from the wrong area. |

I’ve got it integrated now. Haven’t tested it much, but so far appears to be working well. I found this http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread.php?t=13147 on the mamboserver forum. The download provided by jrgarrett worked for me. I did have to turn off magic quotes to get it to upload, but not sure if that would be necessary for a local directory install. I’ll try to test it later.
