Hi.. I am a new Gallery user. I already downloaded the language file. After unzipping folder, I uploaded all the files & 2 folders under locale. The language on my gallery hasn't changed yet. What's the next step should I do? I don't see the step by step installation guide. I already read the "Using the (web)cvs", but still not really understand. Please help. P.S. My Gallery version is v1.4.4-pl6. The language pack which I downloaded was zh_TW-1.4.4-pl4.tar. |

What's the meaning of "rerun the config wizard to enable the language "? How to do that? I already uploaded the zh_TW folder correct into galleries locale folder. What's step2? I am really new in gallery, and need your help. |

As Tim_j's suggestion, I log in as admin. click on "documentation", and then "configuration wizard". I see the page as following. The Configuration Wizard 1. Put your Gallery into configuration mode. Doing this is described on each of the individual installation pages. Pick the one that describes your setup. Unix FTP Unix Shell Windows Apache Windows IIS 2. Start the configuration wizard by pointing your browser to: http://www.example.com/gallery/setup/index.php 3. The first page will check for errors that could block you from installing Gallery. If you get all green, you're passing with flying colors! If some tests fail with a warning (i.e. yellow), you're usually OK. However, if some tests fail with "serious warnings," you need to fix them before proceeding 4. Step 2 will guide you through some Gallery-wide settings. Finally, step 3 allows you to set default settings for new albums (this does not affect already created albums; see FAQ C.34). 5. The last page (step 4) shows you what your config.php file will look like after you save it. It will also prompt you to fix any errors in the previous steps (e.g. bad album path or missing values). If everything is set correctly, you can click "Save Config." 6. Once your configuration has been saved, you must secure your Gallery. Here's how you do it for each OS/setup pair Unix/Shell - Run the secure.sh script, located in your main Gallery directory Unix/FTP - Chmod the files listed below: chmod 644 .htaccess Windows - Run the secure.bat script, located in your main Gallery directory 7. Enjoy your newly installed Gallery! The default username is admin and the password is what you specified on step 2 of the config wizard. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have some questions. 2. http://www.example.com/gallery/setup/index.php is no longer there. Please advise me how to do step2. I really need help. Thank you very much! |

Hey! I have installed the swedish language pack but cant get it to work. Gallery version: Language pack: In the configuration wizard it says "Success 3 languages are available." In step 2 I click on "Languages and locales" but theres only two fields for changing "Format for date strings" and "Format for date/time strings". Whats wrong? |

Can you give me the url to your gallery ? then i will have a look. The 1.5 langpacks works fine with 1.5.1-rc1, just some things will stay untranslated. Jens |
