Is there a program that is not going to download a zillion bugs and adware to my computer to batch upload photos?

Both G1 and G2 support several methods of batch upload.

Gallery Remote
The Gallery Remote applets (which are embedded in Gallery's upload page)
Add from server
Add from URL
Add from Zip File

Then maybe you should post something in the support portions of the forum requesting help getting those functions operational.
