User Albums module features

I like the functionality of the "User Albums" module, but I wish the functionality could be more granular.

I wish I could assign the " Jump to user album after login" function to a group.
I wish I could choose when creating a new user whether the "User Albums" module should be active for that user.

Maybe a better explanation of my wishes would be:
A user has a user album (as set up by the user albums module. This user wants some family members to have access to the album owned by this user and preferably they should also jump straight to the user album when they log in.

It seems to me the easiest way to achieve this would be if a group by the same name as the user exists then any member of this group should also jump straight to the "user album". One tricky situation would of course be if a particular user was a member of more than 1 of such groups.
