Authentication error after completing step 6

Hi,

After I filled in the Admin user details and continue to step 7 I receive an authentication error.
I have tried this with FF 1.06 and IE 6.0.
After re-authenticating I have to go trough step 2 - 6 again to get stuck again at step 7.

Gallery Version: 2
Webserver: Apache/1.3.24 (Unix)
Database: mysqld Ver 4.0.24_Debian-10-log for pc-linux-gnu on i386 (Source distribution)
PHP version: 4.2.0
phpinfo URL: phpinfo.php
Graphics Toolkit(s): ImageMagick / NetPBM
Operating system: Windows XP
Web browser/version: IE 6.0 / FF 1.06

Hope you can help me. Gallery 2 looks great!

another user had a similar issue today. i'll compare your phpinfo with his once the other user posts a link to it.

I have the same problem. Fill in the admin user info, submit, get authentication error, start over at step 2. Start all over only to get stuck again.

Tried it with the latest versions of Firefox and Safari.

please try tomorrows nightly snapshot (available in about 11h). -> jesse mullans nightly snapshots page, a link to it is on the download page.
cookieless browsing was partially broken in the installer.
so if your browser doesn't accept cookies or the cookie settings of your php are incorrect, this was the problem and it shhould be fixed now.
