User-specific favorites (not voting)

Just an idea. What if every user could have their own favorites section? This way they don't have to go looking to find a picture they're looking for every time they want to see it. Also, they won't have a thousand bookmarks for the pictures they like. Then you could also have the user choose to make their favorites public. So I can see my friend's favorites for example.

To add to this, if you combine this with the voting feature, there could be a feature where I can see what rating my friend gave to a certain picture. Or I can create a group of my friends (using their usernames) and see what their average rating for a certain picture is.

Thanks guys, great work, absolutely amazing!

It's just a suggestion. I wish I could do a quarter of the stuff you guys do, I couldn't code anything if my life depended on it.

well, then check if there's already a feature request listed about favorites on http://gallery.menalto.com/sfvote/all and if not, you can file a new one on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ -> RFE

Favorites makes a dropdownlist of elementactions on album-level preview, but i prefer the direct display of all elementactions (table-form)
I would like to integrate the Link "Add to Favorites" into the element-action-list and restrict this favoritlist to special groups or users.
So i propose, to add the actions conform to elementactions and to add it to the right-management.

My solution is to modify the album.tpl to disable the dropdownlist. Album-level actions are available in the sidebar. For sure it will impact the user behavior.

Hope it helps.
