Hi. First thanks to all the devs for making Gallery2, for the documentation writers and editors and for the folks helping follow up on the support forums! Some of these issues below may be specific to gallery only or may have come about since the integration process. Therefore the reason I am posting on gallery forum and nukedgallery forum. See http://www.nukedgallery.net/postp12323.html Here's the rundown... 1. I installed Gallery 2.0. Then upgraded to Gallery 2.0.1. Works fine. I can access Gallery 2 just fine via main.php and login with admin and user accounts. 2. Installed phpBB 2.018, which works fine. 3. Installed phpBB2.zip integration package from nukedgallery.net. (date 11-03-05). This is where fun begins and here is what I've found: A. Synchronized logins are not working as expected for normal user That is after I log into the forum from the forum header login link, then I am not observing any error messages. When I log into the forum with an admin account, it appears as that login is synchronized with Gallery since "SiteAdmin" appears in the Gallery menu. But then when I click on an album thumbnail, same issue above. The resulting album page displays login in the menu and I am no longer logged in as admin (or as any other user). B. As a follow-up... I just discovered the admin account I setup for G2 dos not work when logging into the forum. And the admin account I set up for the forum does not work when logging directly into G2 (main.php). I was under the impression the integration synchronized the user account (including admin account) databases. Or does this account synchronization only apply when logging into the gallery "through the forum"? Note that after logging into the forum with an admin account and then clicking the Gallery 2 link in forum header, the menu on the Gallery home page shows logged in as "Site Admin as expected". But as explained above this login does not carry when clicking on any of the other links. e.g. clicking admin links in the left column menu results in a blank page. And clicking on an album thumbnail results in viewing the album as a guest user (my admin login is not maintained). C. The "Gallery " link at the top of the forum home page points to: When clicking on that link the gallery home page displays beneath the forum head (as expected). But the gallery page displays here in font sizes larger than when viewing the gallery home page directly. It's as if the default CSS for /gallery2/main.php does not apply to D. After installing the integration files I found I can no longer "View slideshows" in Firefox (v 1.5) although slideshows works in IE6. Clicking "view slideshow" brings up slideshow.html page with menu at top but no images display. Clicking "show more info" brings up details for the first image in album but again no images display and the slideshow does not proceed. (just to be clear I'm not referring here to full screen java applet based slideshows). Hope the above is clear and apologize for possibly mixing the above issues together in one post but I thought they might be related. Thank you for any recommends or ideas. Woody |

Thanks for the note. I see Dari has replied to someone else's forum post after I posted my issues, but have yet to receive any reply to my post.
I also have requested uninstall info so we can get things back in working order. But thus far no reponse.
I see now that installing the phpbb2-G2 integration package was a big mistake on my part. In the future, before installing any G2 plug-ins, modules or similar, I will ensure complete uninstall instructions and complete documentation as to the changes made to the database(s) are included in the package. it would be great if uninstall insturcts could be included in the readme or other FAQ. maybe the G2 devs could recommend to all the third party developers that they should make this info readily available. If anything would certainly minimize the number of posts like mine ;-)
If anyone has info on how to roll-back from (uninstall) the aforementioned integration package please post. Thanks.

Yep, uninstall instructions are missing mostly. Of course you could contribute them on codex.gallery2.com yourself if you find out what's needed.

To uninstall this mod:-
Follow the installation instructions but remove the files it tells you to add.
For the file edits section, where it says add, delete the text instead.
Delete the table you created for the mod.
Option 2 is to re-install the packages.
You probably don't mean to sound ungrateful but it's worth remembering that all of this software and support is freely contributed.

Michael-
Thanks for the suggestions. So the only thing I will lose in the database is the new account signups since I installed the mod? It's unclear to me which database new accounts were added to after I installed the mod. The G2 db or the phpBB db? Before I installed the integration mod I understood the account databasess would be synchronized (for login purposes) but found that to not be true.
Not sure about your suggested "Option2"? Why would I re-install? Was the mod updated since I last installed?
Where do I sound "ungrateful"? Please re-read the first line of this thread.
