Display latest thumbnails in album view

We are working on a joomla site and are using gallery2 in order to show multimedia files. We we were wondering if it is at all possible to do the following: =============================================== and so on, so that if I have 3 main albums, lets say "Nature" "City" "Town" and I create subalbums in each of these categories, lets say "Animals" "Flora" whithin Nature, the latest images added to the album and or subalbums "Nature" will show on the first row on the main gallery page, similar to "http://www.deviantart.com" Is this at all possible? |

it's certainly possible to write a theme to do this, but it will take learning quite a bit about G2 so you can load up data for those recent items.
