I received an email from the web hosting company saying that my website is overloading the server's CPU. The culprit seems to be files in Gallery. If not mistaken, it should be the same problem as this: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/48785 Is there any solution? Currently the only reason that I can think of is that my bandwidth has gone up, but still within the web hosting company's limits. I've hit 1GB of traffic in the first 4 days of May, and not sure if this contributed to the CPU overload. Thanks for any reply and solution.

Same thing happened to me. My webhost didn't bother to send email but just suspend my site. It happend few times and then I kicked them and moved to new host.
So far there hasn't been any complaints, but it is true that gallery does put load on server. Some hosts can handle it and some can't.

The new version is causing http processes that last several minutes (of CPU time) and consume 99% of the processor at a time. I am a web host -- I get to see the processes as they occur.

I run Gallery 2 on my own web server and see the same thing from time to time. The only thing I can do to stop it is to reset the server. Also, I have noticed that my Web Server starts to slow down after time and it never did this untill I started running G2. I have to stop httpd and restart it again to get things running back up to speed again.
