Gallery Remote

Hi, I recently installed Gallery Remote onto my pc. When it opens, it asks you to download an update. Which I did. But since downloading the update, its not changed anything, the version has stayed the same, and the update alert box is still popping up as soon as Gallery Remote opens. I know that I've installed it right, but can somebody help with this. I think there may be a fault in the update.

launch gallery remote
select options
select the general options
un-select the 'check for beta updates'

I belive that this should not be the default behavior.
I will add a FAQ and a RFE/Bug report.
