Depends what you mean.
You can "edit album" and then change or add to the "resizes" and if you like, tick the "recreate resizes" option (or thumbs too). You could also install the size limit module and impose a size limit on an album, but I don't know if that is recursive/immediate or not :/

thanks for the reply.
actually, what i'm wanting to do is resize the images after i upload them. some of the images are rather large and i would like to resize them to 800x600, or whatever. sometimes, i upload a large number of images at a time and it's a pain to resize them individually before uploading them. i'm still searching for an application that would allow me to do batch resizing before uploading. i'm running linux if anyone happens to know of a tool that would do this.
thanks.

The size limit modules does exactly what you want. Install it. Go to the album.
Define picture size limit -> Maximum dimensions of full sized images -> Enter dimensions ->
[X] Check here to apply size limits to the pictures in this album and all subalbums. Checking this option will rebuild pictures according to appropriate limits
-> Save
Possibly rebuilding the whole sizes after setting the image size could also help (though I didn't try that one)
