Cannot Delete Invalid User Names

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):www.swanseacameraclub.org
Gallery version:1.5.3
Apache version:not known
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):4.4.0
Graphics Toolkit:ImageMagick
Operating system:Unix
Web browser/version (if applicable): IE6

I used the "bulk add" option in the manage users section. Several "new users" are actually invalid names and symbols. However I cannot delete or modify them through the manage user admin. Can somebody please suggest a SAFE way of deleting these records

Hi Jens, thanks for the reply

There are 25 of them ~ an attempt to delete or modify displays them as
ý
/\\ý
Tý
but some of them return a blank instead of a username

It all happened when I downloaded a member list from the CMS databasse, converted it to a CSV file and uploaded it to gallery member list only to discover tabstops etc hidden in the file. I am sure this is what caused it

Hmm,

this is a little more complicated.
i assume those users have never logged in, or own albums right ?

Make a zip of your .users folder and send it to me via mail. jens AT peino DOT de
I will fix it for you.
