your error is unrelated to this module. it's a admin / plugin issue.
please post it in the support forums.
thanks.

besides Gallery Remote, the upload applet, windows publish xp, webdav and other alternatives ;)

CuteUpload is a good alternative and it's nice that it's free. But the free versions of the other alternatives work in any browser, don't have such limits. And $190 to get rid of the limits is a lot!

just want to put it into perspective.

CuteUpload is an ActiveX control which means you can only use Internet Explorer at the moment; compare to other alternatives, it has nicer user interface and with great userability. We have removed the function limit of the free edition, the difference of free edition and commerical edition only results in the following aspects:

- There is CuteUpload banner on the Free Edition of CuteUpload control
- Free version can only be used for non-commercial purpose, evaluation or educational purpose, personal website that is not for profit purpose
- There's 30% of chance to get the Free Edition information dialog when you upload the files

For a small site, a developer edition would meat the requirement which is only 69.95 USD and allows 5 concurrent usage.

in that case you should update your website since it still states stricter limitations and a price of $190.

Thanks for your quick response. We have updated our website to reflect the no file size limitation update for CuteUpload Free Edition, hope this would be a good Christmas gift to the Gallery2 users :)

As for the price, we have different price for different edition, the Free Edition is 0.00; CuteUpload Developer Edition $69.95; CuteUpload Professional Edition $179.95. There's no version at $190.

Please feel free to let us know should you have any other questions.

Very cool, just installed this, similar to what I have been looking for in facebook, all it needs now is the ability to resize/rotate images before uploading !!

That would be very cool then.

Thanks
Matt.

Sorry for reopening an old thread, I've just installed this and hoped it would be the saviour for me, however, despite successfully installing and configuring, I tried to upload 4 files, rangeing from 1mb-or-so upto 4.5mb; all appeared to upload successfully (all uploaded and appear in the correct album folder on the server) HOWEVER only a single thumbnail appears on the site, the other three file names appear, and no album thumbnail was generated.

Anyone any suggestions or experiences of this same problem?

Many thanks for sharing such a good module.

always for images, i really curse you people who keep developing useless upload scripts only for images!

cant you people understand there is more togallery2 then just making plug-ins for images ? take for example ffmpeg ? there is 2 ffmpeg plugins

and both of them handle thumbs grabbing, but where is the encoding support ? please don't point me to this FlashyourWeb useless pice of shit site.

so fed with stupid developers stupid idiots making stupid useless pice of shit plugins.

Perhaps you could write it yourself then.

yes i have done just that, changed ffmpeg class so it uses mencoder instead to encode to h264 avc

removed upload applet, and replaced with http://digitarald.de/project/fancyupload/

also added a customized JW player, with black skin.

things running good. only thing left now is to get more things out of libx264
