Only icons hover navigation does not work on Firefox 3.0.11
There is simply no navigation available on the picture when you choose the "only icons" function in the hover navigation prefs.

I chose that function because it allow the user to click anywhere on the pic to navigate prev or next (it works prefectly on Safari 4)
...

Sorry, little update, the navigation works on Firefox as well, but I have to be logged in (same thing for Safari)

How come the navigation does not work for everybody/guest users ?

What do I have to do to make it work ?

I have the same problem as you do for the links in the info message, they don't appear.

I am using X_treme 1.0.6 with G2.3

Did you manage to solve this links problem ?

Not sure if I should post here or under a new topic, and I appologize if this has already been addressed. I couldn't find it via the search engine.

I've noticed a small bug with the cart plug in on the photo page. When I hover over the cart icon, I see "Add Album to Cart" when it should be "Add Photo to Cart." http://herringimages.com/gallerytest/v/katmai_bears/20090628-BHI_6508.jpg.html is an example.

*edit for more info* If the button is actually clicked, it adds just that one photo/item.

Hello,

I like this theme very much, it's a great work. But I have some questions and I didn't found solution:

1. On the photopage I have the microthumbs on the right side of the bigger image. Below the thumbs is the picture-block. And below of that I wanted to add some information text which should appear on every photopage. I already looked into the photo.tpl, but didn't found how and where to place the text.

2. I want to show the size of the full size image without a link in the form "resolution full-size image: 9999x9999 px", where "9999x9999" must show the numbers of the original full-size image. It is show when I activate the option, but I can't deactivate the link to the picture.

3. Where can I edit the appearence of the cart information? Now it shows a lot of text and all images which are in the cart. I didn't found where I can change this, there is no cart-modul on the configuration-menu.

You can view an example photopage here http://www.thomas-braun.com/gallery2/v/portraits/location/20090603fabrikkulkwitz/part01/090603_0022p-2.jpg.html

Would be very nice if someone could help me.

Best regards
Thomas

HI All,

I love x-treme - the best theme I have used in gallery2. The cherry on the top would be if I could get the whole page to be fixed width so the headers a footers are aligned with the rest of the site. I believe this can be done in the theme's .css file. ??? is this very complicated?

Apologies if this is old news. I have searched everywhere for a solution.

Oh and another thing... the search block does not work when included in an album page. It appears but when you enter text to search a popup appears saying "enter search term" as if nothing is there.

Can anybody get xtreme frames to work (the ones with passpourt etc)?

If I select frame set one 2 or 3 or even set my own variables, when I go to photo page there is no image displayed. Switch off xtreme frame, image reappears. I know it should work as I have seen Pedro's website with some excellent examples.

I have googled this and searched the forums with no mention of xtreme frame problems, so I am guessing that no one else has a problem?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked already (I did a search but didnt find any reference) but I am new to Gallery and while Galeery 2 looks excellent I like the ideas behind gallery 3. I assume the x_treme theme would need a complete re-write but as the best theme (IMO) is any project set up to convert to Gallery 3???

Cheers

Hi all.
Please, i just uprade to G2.3 and using X_treme (before use PGTheme with no issue). I have not change anything default of X_Treme theme. But at the photo page, there is no image, no mirothumb ... ,and when click Slideshow anywhere, it said "the album have no photo" anh if click "back.." it go back to the root.
If i use the other theme , everything is ok. but ofcouse - those themes cannot so nice like PG - Xtreme theme.

Image frames not working

I've been using this wonderful theme for years now on Gallery 2.2.3, but after the site got irreparably corrupted I started completely afresh with Gallery 2.3 and the latest version of Xtreme. All is well, except whenever I turn on the image frame, with or without any preset, the image does not show on the image page. Only the thumbs block. I have tried this on three separate clean installs and it is always the same. I can live without it, but the frame and passpartout did look really good. If I select a preset and leave the 'Display a frame' box unticked, I still have the same problem. When both are null, the picture displays fine again. Emptying the template cache makes no difference. Any ideas how to make it work again?

I see Melph above has the same problem.

Also, like Shpy above, I also cannot get the piclens slideshow to come up when I click the slideshow button or menu option. It just says there are no items and links back to the front page. I do however see my photo and microthumbs fine (as long as the frames settings are turned off)

Cheers,

Tom

I have updated the slideshow module to the latest at http://www.flashyourweb.com/filemgmt/index.php and emptied the template cache. Now, the slideshow works if you use the dropdown action, but the slideshow icon still tries to call the original non-piclens slideshow, which reports that there are no items. I have had to turn off that icon so as not to lead people astray. Can anyone tell me how to get that icon to bring up the piclens slideshow the same as the menu item?

I am running IIS 6.0 with PHP 5.2.11 with FastCGI configured.

The main gallery page opens fine, but if I open a album page I receive the following messages:

Quote:

Does anybody have an idea to solve these ?
On this moment the only theme that works with FastCGI enabled is the default "matrix" theme ...

I have the same problem as lightpainter and shpy. Slideshow works when called from the dropdown, but when clicking on the slideshow icon (/gallery/wpg2?g2_view=slideshow.SlideshowMediaRss&g2_itemId=27), I get the message, "This album has no photos to show in a slideshow. Back to Album View."

I have a brand new install of Gallery (v.2.3 core 1.3.0 from 10/2008), the most recent version of X_treme (v.1.0.6 from 08/2008), and the updated PicLens (v.1.3.1.14221). I have not modified the templates or CSS. Since the problem is with the slideshow icon that does NOT call the PicLens plug in, it seems likely that this issue has been around for a year, but I can not find a solution. I can try to hack the php, but I'll bet someone has figured out a better solution.

I'm beating my head against a wall trying to figure out how to keep my background image (assigned through the admin panel under styles) to NOT tile. I tried editing the style.tpl, but I'm apparently not doing it right. Can anyone help me? I'd also like to get the background of the image area to be a bit transparent so I can see my background image through it, but that's secondary to the tiling.

Thanks in advance.
