First time HTML integration woes...

I just started using Gallery2 and I can't seem to get the parts I want to integrate with my plain HTML web site. I've searched through the forum, but can't seem to find the info I need.

I did the whole 'gallery2embedded.php' thing, and it seems to work OK, but I can't get only the pictures/albums to show up in my page...I keep getting all of the stuff around the pictures too (login, search etc. etc.). This is too big for the space I'm putting my pictures in, and ends up distorting the layout of my site.

Example: http://www.michiganjapan.com/gallery2embedded.php

How can I get just the pictures/galleries, and a filename beneath them to show, I dont need anything else. I know it can be done--I see it on so many of other user's pages.

Thanks for any help~

Edit this, and put it in your site's root.
Its well commented so you can see where to put your html.
Its assuming gallery is http://yoursite.com/gallery2/
if not, change lines 7&8 to reflect your setup.
Also take note of lines 15&16

Thank you very much--that solved one problem at least.

Now, I'm still getting stuff there that I dont want--the gallery logo, and the 'bars' on top and bottom of the image section. I want the images and image names ONLY. Any way to do this? Do I need a different template or something?

And Number 2: When I click on the Albums, it takes me to my homepage, not to the pictures. Why is this?

Updated Link: http://michiganjapan.com/michigan-japan-gallery.php

Thanks.

The 'embedUri' => '/galleryindex.php?' needs to be changed to: 'embedUri' => '/michigan-japan-gallery.php?' line 8
as for the logo and stuff, I believe that is gallery2/themes/matrix/templates/theme.tpl that you need to edit.
But just copy it to gallery2/themes/matrix/templates/local/theme.tpl first (you may have to create the local directory yourself)
gallery will look for templates in the local directory first so when you upgrade you don't overwrite yours.

Ah, thanks, I actually caught that right before you posted.

I'll try editing the theme and see how it goes...

Hey suprsidr. The file attached above looks simple enough, and I get that I need to save it to my root directory, but how do I call the php file. Would I set my link to my gallery to point at the php file? Sorry, I am bng a little thick today, but this is by far the simplest thread I have come across regarding embedding gallery into a plain html site. Thanks in advance for the insight.

Yes, you still need to edit it to add any html, stylesheets, or javascript your site requires.
this is just a raw embed script.
just point your browser to yoursite.som/galleryindex.php
