Hi I have installed Gallery2 on my server (http://galleri.hinsides.net) and Drupal on the main domain (http://www.hinsides.net). Usernames for the masteruser on both systems is the same. Anyone who has some tips? EDIT: I also tried to make a symbolic link according to the codex, this did not work either. |

Disable URL Rewrite in G2 temporarily and try to embed again. This somehow sounds like a rewrite issue to me.

Thanks for the tip, but it still generates the same error.
Would it help if i disable it in Drupal to?

Well, there is a dozen of possible causes for this error. Try to install beta3 (which fixes some problems with php4). If the error persists you may want to take a look at the server logs, they usually tell you about the problem.

I have Gallery 2.2.3, the server was upgraded from PHP 4.4 to 5.5.2 and the gallery stopped working. I checked all the pre-requisites for installation. I checked the gettext as i use localization. The gd library is there.
The phpinfo can be accessed at
http://humordepolo.com/info.php
I also enabled the error logging by editing the config.php and adding extra code to the top of main.php. This was unsuccessful because the error_log file doesn't record anything and the webserver error log doesn't have anything either.
Any idea or suggestion is more than welcome, thnx

Ok, so let me stand in line here.
Installed Gallery 2 today, latest version with drupal 5.x . all works fine. Until I press the button "sync users" is to be pressed. Error 500 - and nothing else.
The drupal log says:
"Error in function '_gallery_init()' (gallery_base.inc:80):
* Unable to initialize embedded Gallery. You need to configure your embedded Gallery."
Seems there is a general bug, not only "single stupid user".
Regards
Roland.
