My gif thumbnails show up as broken images. However when you click on them it shows the image just fine. Not sure what to do. I got an error message once, something about jjoomla or jhead maybe. Sorry I don't remember. Seems like the only thing it's affecting is the gif images. Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problems too. It only started recently, too, because I used to have thumbnails for gif images that worked fine, until I uploaded a new one today and the thumbnail was broken. I tried generating new thumbnails for the album to see if it would work if I tried again, if it was just a glitch, and suddenly all of the thumbnails for my gif images were broken.

I only just started tackling the issue, I'll post if I get any results.

I deactivated NetPBM and tried generating thumbnails and it worked, I got my thumbnails back. I'm not a technical person so I don't fully understand how it happened. I tried deactivating Gd before I tried deactivating NetPBM and nothing happened so it might have to have something to do with NetPBM.

Hi and thanks. I also deactivated NetPBM and rebuilt thumbnails. I rebuilt thumbnails before and came up with a bunch of errors. This time it was error free. I also uploaded a new gif file and it worked perfectly. I wouldn't quite consider this problem solved, as there's still an issue with NetPBM and animated gif files. But for the time being I will just keep NetPBM deactivated. You might not be a technical person, but you came up with an answer that'll work for now. :-) Thank you again.

Thanks very much for supplying this information. This resolved my problem with thumbnails as well.

My Gallery 2 site is hosted on Startlogic (as yours appears to be) and they have recently transistioned to VDeck v3.0. After the transistion my thumbnails broke. It appears that in the process of the transistion the NetPBM executable is no longer accessable to my website or the path has somehow changed. When I ran the test button inside of the Gallery admin for the NetPBM module it came up with errors. I disabled NetPBM like you did and then regenerated my thumbnails. This appears to fix things for now.
