Insert button in Image chooser still not working!

Hello,
please, if anybody can help me with this problem:
after upgrading to WP 2.3 and WPG 3.0.2 versions, my Insert button in Image chooser stopped working both in visual and source. I know that some other people on this forum had pretty much the same problem, but it was resolved when they refreshed/cleared cache/disabled malfunctioning plugins. Well, none of these simple ones works in my case. I tried to deactivate all of the plugins apart from WPG2, cleared the cache, everything. Nothing has changed.
In Mozilla and Opera, after pressing Insert button, it doesn't say or do anything, but when I do it on IE, it indicates in Image chooser window "Error on the page"
When I opened the note about error, it showed me this:

BTW, the same thing was showing to ep01 who posted about it and had it solved by removing old plugin. I have exactly the same symptoms, ie. Image chooser allows me only to insert WPG tag of the recent album and only once per session. Again, all of my WP plugins are up-to-date and this problem occcurs even when I desactivate all the WP plugins. Also the validation seems to work well (apart from Gallery2 rewrites that has probably nothing to do with it).

Normally, I am using a couple of WP plugins that may cause some malfunctioning of WPG2, e.g. Tiny MCE advanced, WP Super edit etc. But, the weird thing is that Image chooser was working perfectly in the first days after the upgrade. My girlfriend has the blog with identical settings like me and after upgrading it, Image chooser does not work for her, too. Shortly before this problem occured I was adjusting the settings for the new Lightbox thing in WPG2, but after I realized Image Chooser does not work, I changed all the settings in WPG2 to default.

Furthermore, since I started experiencing problems with Image chooser, there occured problem with uploading pictures via Gallery Remote and G2 built-in web browser upload. Does not make sense, I would say these two things are pretty different stuff, but still, both Image chooser and uploading stopped working at the same time, without me changing any settings in Gallery2 itself.

I saw the post you mentioned already before, but it seems to me that it is a different problem. My pictures and folders are displaying alright. I just cannot insert them in the post, because "Insert" button in Image Chooser doesn´t work. Anyway, just in case, I tried to write the post after viewing my blog, embedded page, revaluating WPG2 and still nothing.
Is this problem just in my settings (I wasn´t really changing anything since the upgrade), or is it something in WPG2/Gallery2?

I already tried to desactivate all Tiny MCE plugins as well as the rest of plugins (apart from WPG2) and after clearing cache and revalidating WPG2 I checked Image chooser and no result. I even deleted all the plugins manually and still no difference...

The TinyMCE Advanced plugin requires separate installation. Check out these two posts to see if you've configured it properly.

Just wanted to unfortunately keep this post alive. I'm going to go through and see what I can find based on these posts but I'm having the same problem trying to insert an image into my post using the Gallery2 Image Chooser - I have tried 2 browsers on one machine and another browser on a different machine and still cannot insert an image.

I get an Error on page warning:

Line: 162
Char: 3
Error: 'window.opener.document.forms[...].elements' is null or not an object
Code; 0

WordPress Version 2.6.2
WPG2 Version 3.0.7

I'll let you know if it's just "operator error" of if it's something else.

Hi Tomas,

Since I was not sure where to add the 'tmp' (my install of WP is at the root level) I created at the root and one in the wp-content. I still was not able to insert images using the Gallery2 Image Chooser. I am still getting a report of javascript error

window.opener.document.forms[g2ic-form] has no properties at line 161 in the functions.js

I also have the latest version of WP 2.6.3

I tried something... and no idea why it worked...

renamed my current version of Gallery 2.6.7 (I believe) to gallery-old
I created a directory gallery (use what ever you renamed the old version from)
and then uploaded the same version (clean) into the new empty directory
moved my old config.php to the new directory

then went to WPG2 and went through the validation process again.

It now works... so not sure what I fixed...but I assume there was a corrupt file somewhere that a clean install fixed
