Flash video support in Gallery v2.1 Blackjack

Is there any support for flash videos for Gallery 2.1 ..
i use swf toolkit for .swf files but there is no support for .flv files .. is there any module that will allow me to play .flv files in gallery v2.1 ??

i guess we've added the flash-video module in g2.2. you'd have to upgrade.

what if i don't want to upgrade to 2.2 ?? is there any solution for 2.1 ???

Why wouldn't you want to upgrade?

There is no solution for 2.1 - the Flash Video module will only work with 2.2.

its just that i have quite some custom modules that would have to be upgraded and i am not sure now would be the right time to upgrade considering the activity that needs gallery to be up and running ...

all modules for g2.1 should work with g2.2. g2.2 is backwards-compatible. it's safe to upgrade.

so will be gallery 2.3. the next backwards incompatible release will be gallery 2.4.

If i upgrade from v2.1 to the current version (2.2), will it not affect my custom modules that use the api from 2.1 .. someone told me there are certain differences in APIs for 2.1 and 2.2 and that the custom modules might not work in v2.2. Is this true ?

all modules that work in g2.1 work in g2.2 too.

the same is not true for g2.0 and g2.2. but all modules/themes from g2.1 will work in g2.2 and g2.3 too.
