Installation problems at step 4: "There was an error creating the directory structure within the storage directory."

The directory folder has write permissions.
I tried several different folder names, when I created the folder.

Dunno how to proceed.

The prior installation steps were completed successfully.

Thanks for any ideas...

what operating system are you trying to install Gallery 2?
without giving us some specific background information, we can't assist you any further.

I've got the same problem.

The Directory is set to 777, the Installer creates a directory structure, but still shows me this error?!
