Embedding API version is incompatible

Hi
I am new to Drupal 6 and Gallery 2.2.4, I am trying to install the embedded version of Gallery 2.2.4 into my fresh installed Durpal 6. The gallery installation has gone well and I can access that separately without any problem. When I try to make Galley setup for embedding inside Drupal I keep getting the Error message

Embedding API version is incompatible

The path is correct as it says "Everything seemed OK, but the Gallery could still not be initialised."

How should I solve this problem? I checked you forum it seams that this issue is new.

Gallery version (not just "2"): Gallery 2.24
PHP version (e.g. 5.1.6): PHP 5.2
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ):
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33): Apache
Database (e.g. MySql 5.0.32): MySAL 5.x
Activated toolkits (e.g. NetPbm, GD):
Operating system (e.g. Linux): It is Web hosting I am not sure
Browser (e.g. Firefox 2.0): FireFox 2

Thanks God I am not alone! :) I believe it should be as it only questioning the embed file compatibility with new Drupal 6.x. I hope that they find way to solve it. I am not willing to install older version.

I foudn somthing in the release notes:

This module requires Gallery 2.3 (svn). It will NOT work with a stable G2.2.x release.

If you dont have a SVN client to fetch the code from repository directly you can get the latest nightly build at http://www.rabinovich.org/G2/ (.tar.gz or zip).

I will try with the version 2.3, and hope;-)

So this means reinstalling the whole Gallery 2.x pack, is not it? Let me know if you have any luck so I try as well?
I saw a Drupal file at the site as well, what is it for?

Hello now it's working well. you must install Gallery 2.3

I am utterly frustrated. Suddenly Drupal failed to work because of an upgrade of php4 to php5. I installed the latest version which made it work again but the integration with Gallery was gone. I followed the advise here, but it still doesn't work. Gallery as standalone works fine, drupal too, but I can't get it to work together.

I just ran into the same thing, and using the latest SVN snapshot of Gallery 2 worked for me as well.

Did I get the wrong snapshot or something?

Hello. I don't have a problem installing and running, but I have a problem when I navigate within albums.

Components of my drupal 6.1 site disapear when I click on an album. The site looks the same and the embeded gallery works but the Core Drupal Blocks such as Nav, Primary Links, Secondary Links disappears.
