Permissions: How allow to guests only to view the thumb of an album?

Hello everybody,

I've on Album containing over hundred subalbums.
Now I want change the permission.

I d like to have, that guests (unauthorized visitors) only can see the thumbnail picture of the subalbums.

How to achieve that?

Overall, I want to have it as following:

- guests see only the thumbs of the albums
- group X see all thumbs
- group Y see the original version of all images

I'm quite interested in knowing that to! I'd like the thumb for the album to bee shown, but when entering it and not being signed in, be redirected to login or a security alert.

Just a guess - have you looked at the View Item permission to restrict access to an album?

hi david,

yes, the "view item" permission is necessary that the item is visible at genereal.

For adding items there are more detailed permissions possible (add sub-item and add sub-album)
