Slideshow setting for the toolbar

Does anyone know off hand how I can set the toolbar's default to closed on the slideshow? I've found everything I need here to set all other defaults to the way I want, but I would like to close the toolbar, leaving the [-] symbol for the more adventurous viewers who may want to change the settings.

I've been all over the slideshow.tpl file, but if you're not a programmer, there's a limit to what you can do making random changes.

First thing we need to know is what version of Gallery and what theme you're using. A screenshot of what you'd like to change would also be helpful.
