The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):don't have one yet
Gallery version:1
Apache version:I don't know what that is
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):I don't know what that is
Graphics Toolkit:i have photoshop cs3
Operating system:windows xp
Web browser/version (if applicable): firefox

I just downloaded gallery 1 and after opening the folder with
all these different gallery files what do i do now?
where is the "configuration wizard"? How come it just doesn't
prompt me to run the software? Obviously I'm missing someting
that no one else is because I can't find the instructions on
just running the software after it has been downloaded. Help

Hello Shera.

I am just an humble user as yourself and I did encounter some problems myself.
Gallery is indeed not that simple to install. There is a vast manual with lots of information "how to", but I already told the developers that it is a bit (at least) guru-orientated.
If no one else answers your plea (lol) I will try to help you on your way, but there is one major question I have to ask first : Is Gallery 1 not already available at your service provider ? A great many of them will have an option that activates a pre-installed Gallery for your site.
Let's take it step by step. If it is not provided, we'll go to step 2.

Greetings,

Michel
