Hi,

I have taken on a Gallery (1.5.7) which has grown to about 2GB and is running out of space.

Some of the oldest albums have full size images - seen when clicking on the album image.

Is there a simple way to reduce the size of these, preferably on the server rather than downloading to work on?

Or can they be deleted/removed without too much problem?

In most cases people don't look at the originals, they are happy with the intermediate.

Hello,

Gallery 1.5.x does have this functionality (1.6 will, but its not ready for production so far)
What can do if you can do a little skripting is: Copy all resized picture to the fullsize pictures.
The delete the resized versions via Gallery.

Thanks.

Does the current version of Gallery 2 do this?

Does the test version of G1 1.6 have the feature in already?

Yes, G2 can do this, as it works totally different.
Yes, the Testversion (http://jems.de/archive/1.6) have this feature already. (hehe, you could "upgrade", do the change and then downgrade. That should work.)

Thanks. Good thought.

Also, will see how much of a pain the Gallery 2 upgrade would be for me.
