redirect error page to main gallery

I don't know if this topic should be in theme development or here...

If I open an item which is not found, it is redirected on error page (from error.tpl theme template). I would like to go directly on root gallery without showing any error. How may I do that?

you may be able to use a refresh to another page or a javascript that handles the same thing.
