In Trouble... Help Me

Hi Friends.

i have a gallery which have around 380000 Pictures. and it is running very good on gallery 2 http://photoz.in/main.php

but i hav a problem actually i m using water mark module with the galley and the thing is this will also create a same resolution picture and save it on the hard disk.

like if i have a 4800 px resolution pics of angelina jolie it will also create a 4800 px watermarked pic and save it on the cache folder

In this way it is using double space of my hard disk. i have total of 142 Gigs of pics but now the problem is my space is increased to the 185 Gig coz of the duplicate images.

Is there any way to create the high sized water marked images on the fly. i dont want to save it in the cache.

i have 310 Gigs of pictures yet to uploaded and m afraid if i put these pics then it will consume the double space and i only have 500 gigs hard disk.

So please help friends

no. but that's really a bad idea since your server's load and memory consumption would skyrocket.

My Server guys can now upgrade my hard drive to 1 Tera byte.

so tell me how to copy all my data to the new hard drive without any problem.

actually i moved my data long time ago and gallery gives me the blank page error.

so please tell me the secure steps to upgrade to the new hard drive

One More Question

i have 2 HD 500x2

i want to store my all albums data to the hard disk 1 and store all the cache and watermarked images to the 2nd hard disk..

is there any option or mod available to do so..

And what happened if i use my all the 500 gig space. can i merge two HD 500x2 into one. or i have to create the symbolic albums??

in short is there any option to upload the 800 gigs in gallery2 without any problem???

I'd think about setting up some symlinks then, so that the cache and albums directories can go to different places.
