While looking at plugins under my admin tab I clicked update plugins. I've been using the carbon theme, and I went to update it and now it doesn't work. If I try to hit site admin and themes, or click any of the links where it says add or update theme, it takes me to the upgrade/index.php screen. At the upgrade screen I've tried to click continue to step 1, and it does absolutely nothing. I cannot re-install it, or fix it. Anyone have any help? Thanks |

I should add.
I had gallery working perfectly fine, then when checking the plugin updates, I selected on in the community repository. At some point between updating the carbon theme, it died and now when I go to my main.php it takes me to the "welcome to the gallery 2.2 upgrader"
Below it are 2 errors:
Warning: Unknown(): open(/var/php_sessions/sess_4fd39a86f41d19357fff8fa7f2d34558, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/php_sessions) in Unknown on line 0
It says I'm at step 1, and if I click to go to the next step it just keeps showing the same page. At one point I got to step one, which was authenticate. I made a login.txt file as it said, with the text it said, and put it where it said. When I hit authenticate, it just shows the same page with a new code to put in the text. I've tried a number of times and that's as far as I can get.
I made it to my admin section once, which brought me to the general tab. Once I hit the theme tab, it takes me to the upgrader above.
I would uninstall/reinstall, but I paid $13 for it through my webhost and I'm sure I'll probably have to pay again. Gaks

@php session errors:
please ask your webhost to configure php properly. that's a very basic server setting that you shouldn't have to worry about. if this isn't configured properly, many php applications don't work correctly.
that's basic support, they shouldn't ask for money for fixing this issue. that's a server-wide configuration which isn't specific to your account.

maybe your webhost added a nice installer for which they want to see the $13. but gallery 2 is free and it has a decent installer as well. you could just download it from our website and follow the normal installation instructions.
