Gallery 2.3 nightly build (2.3-svn core 1.2.33) PicLens - how to enable?

Hi,
I upgraded my test site to the nightly build version above because I wanted to test the PicLens native support.
Upgrade was successful but not sure how to enable/configure PicLens. I went to the Site Admin -> Slideshow and see this message "PicLens downloads are currently unavailable. Pls try again later."

What to do next? Appreciate any input.

i've just verified that this stuff works on my server.

can your server connect to the internet? if not, it can't download the piclens files.
we can't ship the piclens files with gallery 2 since piclens isn't open-source (legal stuff). so what we do is download the piclens files automatically when you enable / upgrade the slideshow module. but that works only if your server can access the internet to download the files.

Thanks for the reply. Just realizing now, I'm behind a firewall so need to configure proxy settings for G2 to work. Did some search on that and looks like it requires some manual changes to the code.

Can I install PicLens manually? If yes, how to do it?

there's no super simple option to do it manually. you need to download and copy 2 files into some specific location in g2data/ folder and make a manual change in the g2 database.
changing your firewall settings ought to be easier than that.
