landog,
This is only a warning, the warning could simply be your hosting provider may be preventing the WPG2 plugin from verifying the URL. The WPG2 plugin should be valid and working. If you have any problems navigating to images (ie they return a 404 then some of the paths maybe incorrect after all)
Hope this helps..

I have had a look at your site and operationally it all works fine.. As you pointed out you are having CSS issues when display Gallery2 Output (unfortunately not uncommon)..
This guide in the Codex should help you out

thanks ozgreg. For an absolute noob in relation to CSS it looks like its going to be to hard for me to work it all out?
I thought i would just install the plugin and only the pictures would embed in the wpg2 page of wordpress (not the whole site) and a random image and random album appear would appear in the right column of wordpress..oh and it would b e somehow easier to embed a photo from my gallery in posts.
but what i gather is you actually need to have html / coding skills to get this to all happen?
cheers though and thanks

Hiya Landog,
Easy fix on that, in the WPG2 Output Tab turn off the Add Wordpress Header and Footer, this will stop WPG2 from wrapping the Gallery2 Output within Wordpress thus the look will be a typical Gallery2 page and should display fine.. This will allow you have the sidebar images and add photos to the blog etc

do you mean change to this: "WPG2 Output via Standalone Gallery2 Page" ?
If I do that the wpg2 page disappears all togeather?
is there a basic noob document i shoudl read on using wpg2?

sorry stupid post

ok im getting there
got my sidebar widgets installed and I now understand how wpg2 basically embeds the gallery using the wpg2 page and changes all the links to keep navigation within wordpress rather than going off to the gallery home page - thats what I want!
I gather then that back to your original post i need to find someone who could help me with CSS and the proceedures so that I can remove anything other than the albums on the wpg2 home page ?
Is it something i need to find a css person to help with or is it possible to work out myself?
thanks again ozgreg!

We have a pretty good tips and tricks Page up on the codex that is an excellent first starting point.. I just released WPG2 3.0.6 with two bug fixes to correct the Gallery2 Output Page if you want to show it as a Gallery2 Page, not as a Wordpress Page just incase you want to go down that path..

Ill post over in the CSS forum and hopefully someone can help me.
I read your link and that went over my head sorry
p.s. i just upgraded to the latest version, dont think it improved anything, but in the upgrade instructions it says remove wp-gallery2., in the same directory as wp-config.php, but i couldnt find a wp-gallery file in that directory.
hope the upgrade wasnt adversly affected ?

Sorry about that, I just changed those installation instructions to say only delete wp-gallery2.php if you are running version 2.x as that file no longer exists in 3.0
