Picasa: Thumbnail Generation

Hi,

I want to use Gallery2 on my NAS (Qnap 409 Pro), but due to its slow CPU it takes ages for the thumbnails to be generated.
(I am using the latest Gallery2 with GD2).

Is there no way I can upload a folder of pictures together with pregenerated thumbnails?

This is what I want to do with the Picasa import plugin, because the XML webpage has all the thumbnails already.

Please help!
