Modified language files for just some album or theme

I have just started to use Gallery and have read a lot at this forum to see whats possible to do.
My question is:
Is it possible to have modified language files for just some albums or themes?
I would like to change some of the IPTC labels found in the .po files.
This can be done with poEdit to create a new .mo file, right?
