Gallery 2.3 Roadmap

I know this falls within the realm of stupid questions but I am curious if the wiki is still accurate in that Gallery version 2.3 is scheduled for late this month. I'm currently running 2.1 core 1.1.0 and would like to upgrade this summer along with some other work on my website. I expect some hassle with the upgrade as I'm a bit behind and my gallery has 2000 items. I'm sure the security updates alone will be worth it though. If anyone has general advice on upgrading from 2.1 I'd love to hear that too. |

a security release (gallery 2.2.5) is just around the corner (~2 weeks from now).
a first release candidate for gallery 2.3 can be expected in about 3-4 weeks from now. the final release maybe in 6-8 weeks.

i'd upgrade to gallery 2.2.5 as soon as it's available. you shouldn't wait that long to patch your gallery version. of course i understand that upgrading isn't fun, even less so if there are issues. but usually a g2 upgrade is really quick and straight forward.
