Trying to get Gallery2 up and running and having problems.

I have tried extracting the Gallery files and then ftping them over and that did not work.(took for ever). I then called me Web Hosting Company (IPower Web) and Tier 2 unziped them for me. Still getting same problem. Please Help what am I doing wrong?
