Hi,

Gallery version = 2.2.4 core 1.2.0.6
PHP version = 4.4.4 cgi-fcgi
Database = mysqlt 4.1.22-standard, lock.system=flock
Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Dcraw, Exif, Getid3, LinkItemToolkit, Thumbnail, Gd, ImageMagick, NetPBM
Webserver: Apache 1.3.37
Operating system: Linux (kernel 2.6.9-023stab044.4-enterprise)
Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.14, IE 6 (XP SP2)

I have a new installation of Gallery2 (performed by Fantastico from the ISP's bundled services), and most everything seems to work, except it showing the images I've uploaded. On album page I see the name of the file as a link, and when I click it I can see a biq square placeholder is drawn by the browser, but in FF it disappears immediately (IE lets the square be visible) and the image itself doesn't show.

Otherwise I can move around in the gallery, and I've checked the FAQ and these points in particular: I don't get any error messages, the path to "data" is correct, the rights to the images in "data" seem correct, http_host shows the correct value, I've deactivated ReWriteURL and zapped the cache.

Any thoughts on what else I could check?

TIA,

brum

I had this problem with a new installation last week, Fantastico on HostGator.

Try this: Disable and then UNINSTALL "Url Rewrite"

Fixed mine...now to figure out how to get it to work with short URL's.

Fantastico installs a Fantastico number of plugins. I greatly minimized that in Admin.
