Session Start Errors on New Install

Hello, I have been trying to do a new installation of Gallery 2.2, and I am coming up with an error message that I cannot get past. I am having the same authentication error that lots of people seem to have, Error: your login.txt key does not match correctly. Are these errors caused by the installation, or are they server errors? Ask your host why the php_sessions directory does not exist or in not writable by the webserver.
