Buttoon "new", album thumbnail and Gallery2Bridge for Joomla 1.5.X

Ok a few noobs questions for a Gallery 2.2.4

- Why the button "New" on a fresh new album isn't clickable? How do I activate it?

- Is it possible to set a default album thumbnail for every automatically new album created (when users register)?

- Is there an official way to mirror (or sync) users from Joomla 1.5.X?
Im using Gallery2Bridge http://trac.4theweb.nl/g2bridge but it's still not working as it should...so I was wondering if any of you made it to get it to work properly (using CB 1.1 as login)
