Customizing Matrix Theme

Hey guys,

I am just really having trouble customizing the matrix theme. All I would like to do is align the entire page to the middle, change the body background color, and place a custom header at the top(is it possible to place a flash header?). Thanks for any help you can give me!

@Align: The photo? the restof the page is 100% wide.
@Color: choose a colorpack: http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Modules:colorpack

Thanks for your help Dave! I am actually just trying to center the entire gallery to the middle of the page. This is the site: http://discoverthewoodlands.com/gallery/main.php

As you can see the gallery is left justified and I want it in the center. Thanks

I would start again. I cant find any links to pages that work so can't offer more help other than: Create a page that has your header and footer, just plain HTML and add the work gallery where you want gallery to show up.
Then you can use that HTML to edit your template file.
Stuck post a link to your template that you created with plain HTML like your home page.
