Problems with Captcha

My website host provider upgraded PHP version and since then the gallery login module is behaving weirdly. Sometimes the main page hangs for ever and reports "Data Base error" or the captcha in the login page fails to load preventing me from doing a HTTP login. :(


Gallery version :2.2.3
PHP version :5.2.0-8+etch11
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ):
Webserver :apache-common (>= 1.3.34)
Database: My SQl 5.0.32-Debian_7etch5
Activated toolkits :
Operating system (e.g. Linux):Debian linux
Browser (e.g. Firefox 2.0): Firefox, Opera, IE

Can someone help me out?
