Hi there. :-) I have tried using different account, different orders, different browsers, etc. The invoice number shows different every time and yet every time I get back an error from Sandbox saying the invoice has already been paid. It is very possible I don't exactly understand how Sandbox works and I may be doing something wrong there. I looked for a walkthrough of how to best use this feature but there doesn't appear to be one, or I missed it.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Hi Acc

I guess you're using the checkout module (you don't say exactly) with the checkoutpaypal Paypal integration, is that right?

One thing I did notice... When it goes to Sandbox sometimes it says at the top in bold letters "audrey@accphotography.com", but that is not the email I am using for my Sandbox Developer account (accphotography@hotmail.com), nor is it the email of the user I signed in to my site as (msbob31@hotmail.com). Is this maybe my problem? If so, how do I solve it?

Thank you,

Ok... the email in the checkoutpaypal admin page needs to be the ebay 'id' of the recipient for the money. If I remember rightly, under your sandbox account you have several 'spoof' accounts, or at any rate,at least two: one to represent the seller and one the buyer. it should be the (fake) email address of the seller 'account' within your sandbox set of accounts. So for the sandbox, yes, that should be your sandbox developer account.

I should tell you however, the the sandbox is a feature for developers rather than users (i.e. people like me writing & debugging the checkoutpaypal module, rather than you as a Gallery admin) and specifically testing performance under rare error conditions like credit-card rejections, payments that are witheld, part-payments and so on. The best way to test out the module for the average user is to sign up for a second (real) account (Paypal rules allow you to do this for testing purposes) and purchase some of your own pictures. Then you can refund the order to yourself. You'll need a second credit card for the secondary account. Then you get some confidence that your admin-page settings are correct for payments for real users.

Wow I didn't think Paypal would approve of that and I thought this Sandbox thing was very cool for this purpose. LOL! Ah well, I understand the problem now and will make the changes jus tto make sure everything appears smooth before I prepare to go live. I'll let you know if I still encounter trouble.

Thanks so much for your help!

Well, at least I think they allow that. You're allowed one business and one personal account, and I can't see any rule that says you can't pay from one to the other.
