I would like to have a different logo for each album. This means I need a customized theme for each album. I created a copy of the theme and edited all the relevant files with the new name of the theme.
I uploaded the new theme to the gallery2/themes folder.
When trying to install the theme at the front end using the admin account, I just get an empty page, see url:

http://www.famvanorsouw.nl/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.SiteAdmin&g2_subView=core.AdminPlugins&g2_navId=x3655208c

If I delete the theme everything is OK again.

any ideas? thanks in advance

would just like to add that I installed directly gallery2 and the gecko theme via ftp. I customized and renamed the gecko theme on my hard drive and uploaded the new customized theme to the themes folder. I expected it to appear in the plug ins list in siteadmin but that is when it crashes. The rest of the site is accessible, just the plug in and themes options create this error. The permissions are set to read/write.

Hi,

I just had the same problem, but I found this:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Themes:How_to_Copy_an_Existing_Theme

This was the simple solution.

thanks a lot! I had actually edited the theme.inc file but had missed one reference.
It's working now!
