Hello,

I ran Gallery2 (see below for more details) several years on a VPS (AMD64 DualCore, 384MB RAM, 4GB Swap (unkown how much the VPS can use). It's a multisite-installation with 4 sites.

Some weeks ago I moved to a RPS (a dedicated server with an iSCSI-disk running on a SAN): Celeron 1,2 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 512MB Swap on a USB-Stick).

The smaller G2-sites (between 90 und 300 pics) run fine, but mine (720 pics) is just slow. Sometimes it takes about 2-3min to get an album loaded. My gallery has 5 albums, with some subalbums und in some cases subsubalbums.

Any suggestions except "get a better server"?

Addition:

After some testing I found out: The 300pics-gallery on the RPS loads faster than the 720pics-gallery on a dedicated server with a normal harddrive. Strange.
