I installed g2 from tarball.
I am not sure if there was a recent mysql upgrade.
In particular, from below output, I see the following:
1033: Incorrect information in file: './gallery2/g2_CustomFieldMap.frm'
I have checked this file against an old backup using 'diff' and it is the same. mysql shows approximately ten .frm files with the same problem.
I am unable to open my gallery 2 install. When accessed, the page shows only an error:

When I go to phpmyadmin and look at the structure, the tables with problems are marked as "in use" in the collation tab.

No. When I google this error I see many gallery sites are returning it.
FYI: I'm running gallery 2.2.4 on a home server running Debian Linux (etch) with mysql 5.2.

Hello, I don't know if you still have these problems but anyway, it my come in handy to others with same issue.
These InnoDB error appears when you change inodb settings in my.cnf
Once you have a running InnoDB MySQL database, you should never ever change these lines in your /etc/my.cnf file:
datadir
innodb_data_home_dir
innodb_data_file_path
innodb_log_group_home_dir
innodb_log_files_in_group
innodb_log_file_size
If you don't have them, it means that you have the default ones, so don't add them at all.
However, if you changed these settings and you get these errors, go back to your previous innodb settings and you are good to go.

I eventually started over, recreating my database and reimporting the pictures. Actually, I was forced to do some housecleaning, so all was not in vain.
