The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version: 1
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system: Clark Connect
Web browser/version (if applicable): Firefox

I've installed Gallery 1 on my ClarkConnect server, when I try to access the configuration page it just takes me to my gallery webpage, there is a login tab but when I try to login as root or anyother user I get an invalid username/password error.
What do I di?

Hello,

the default username is 'admin'. The password was either entered by you, or your hoster.

That did it, thanks

When I try accessing Admin Page/Configuration Wizard I get the following error

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /gallery/setup/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I notice that when I upload an image to the Gallery page the file is copied albums folder. My server acts as a file server too so this is making duplicates of the files on the server, how can I simply link the page to the file on file server rather than wasting HDD space?

Hello,

so "any other user" was not really correct. ;-)
Also please don't say "Gallery 1", the full version is very important.

Some hoster protect the setup folder. You have to change the permission on you own then. E.g. via FTP, or a control panel.
chmod it to at least 555.

This is not possible with Gallery 1.
But i heard that G2 can do this.
