Upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2.5

I have Gallery2.1 installed on a production server. Would like to upgrade to 2.2.5version. Whats the best way to do this? Can I just COPY the installed files from the production server onto a test server and then test the upgrade there before actually doing the upgrade on the production server itself? thanks ozz |

To do what you propose, you'd need to copy the database, g2data directory, etc.
To create a "test" environment you'll need to follow these instructions (only copy instead of move):

However, you should be safe to upgrade in place. Just backup EVERYTHING, database, g2data, gallery2 files, etc
