Where are you seeing any called to that? I grep'd my entire gallery install and can't find a reference to that.

Oh wait, I think I see. That's for Gallery Remote, which I think the slideshow applet is using. I believe that file is on your local machine and not on the server. If you want to change slideshow settings I believe you need to change them through Site Admin > Slideshowapplet

in the slideshow appett settings, there is a link to "Complete list of variables". if I click on that it says I can change the settings in the remote.properties file. Any idea on this?

If you look at the path, that's actually a file used for Gallery Remote, not the slideshow applet. I think someone either got lazy or just wanted to point to one central location. That link contains a list of variables you can specify for the slideshow applet through the Site Admin > Slideshow Applet interface. IOW, there isn't a file to edit for the slideshow applet.

I know the regular slideshow plugin doesn't and I'd be surprised if the slideshow applet digs into sub-albums. They will only show images in the current album and not any images from sub-albums. To do so with how Gallery is currently put together would be pretty costly resource-wise on the server/database.

But I may be off the mark here. Can you post a link to your album that you are not getting your expected results?

so when I am viewing a sub album inside a album, I can't see a picture review of the pictures that are below it?

I guess I don't understand what you are asking. Is this through the slideshow? Are you talking about pictures in other sub-albums?

I'm having the same issue, It wont let me add a default variable, I'm trying to add slideshowRecursive=true, so I can add images from the subables, but it doesn't update.

It works for me. Kuefler, can you post your system details?
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?

Good luck with your continued hosting on Yahoo, strange things will happen there, things will work, stop working, work, stop working, never work, be impossible to work, etc.
