wpg2 not validating

Hello,
I have just installed wordpress to gallery 2 and am getting a validation error.
I am using wordpress version 2.7 and WPG2 version 3.07.
I have installed and activated the plugin.
I think the plugin is installed fine. I have all of the administration options in the wordpress control panel.
when I go to the WPG2 control panel I have an option entitled WPG2 and when I click on it it goes to a blank page with no options...
when I click on the "WPG2 paths" it brings me to the paths page. I have looked over all of the paths and they appear to be correct. I receive no errors on this page.
when I click on any of the other options I recive an error message "Options not available until WPG2 Plugin is Validated."
Is there something else I need to do to validate the plugin?
Is not compatible with this version of wordpress?

I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

I'm having this exact issue...anyone? I'm at a loss and my hosting site doesn't have nice easy ways to get to any error logs.

Hi I was unable to solve this problem on my server at 1and1. though I noticed a few posts with people having problems with 1and1. So i set it up on a godaddy server and it worked fine no problems at all...

Thanks for your reply, redinpdx. That a bit annoying, though --not your fault I realize. :) I am using 1&1 and I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of changing providers. Has anyone been able to fix this using 1&1 host?

It's really annoying lucky for me I was testing it for a friend on my 1and1 server and their server is godaddy which usually sucks.
I was able to get my 1and1 log files through "WebStatistics" in my control panel but didn't really know what to look for...

Sorry I never found any resolution for 1and1 problems...

I have the same problem, options not available until I validate and a blank screen where the validation option menu should be. 1and1 hosting. Gallery 2 2.3 works fine (well without ImageMagick of course).

Note that the validation menu did pop up and asked me to enter the route to my Gallery2 website which is on the same server but in another directory, accessed via gallery.domain.net and once I entered the date in and clicked the validate option, it all disappeared and never came back.

So, is this hosting specific? I 'mat totalchoicehosting. Anyone else know of problems with them.

Using WP2.7.1 / latest G2 & wpg2 downloads today.

I also have the wpg2 paths set as I think they should be (just about exactly like their examples) and get a blank screen in wpg2 validate menu option! The wpg2 Paths screen allows alterations and saves these.

I'm having the same problem since I updated WP to 2.7.

The WPG2 page is blank, I can see the WPG2 Paths page, and all the other pages are the "Options not available until WPG2 Plugin is Validated." messages.

I'm using BlueHost for hosting and all of that, so I don't think its restricted to 1&1.
